At least she calls it a date when she’s with her friends. Last chapter she caught herself mid sentence and didn’t call it that. Perhaps this foreshadows an upcoming confession?

Agreed. They have been a couple in all but name for half the series at this point. I have a growing suspicion that this is going to be one of those series that ends as soon as they are official.
