A handful of friends and I went DEEP on this way back. My strongest recollection is having an agonizing time on mother brain. Can’t recall one way or another whether I finished it
¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah he also went on to admit that hyperloop was a deliberate misdirect to draw funding away from other rail and other public transit projects, since, you know, he’s the ceo of a car company
I watched a video of some of the “gameplay” of that, and… Wow. It is the most by the numbers mundane idle game I’ve ever seen. Inspired, how uninspired it is.
I mean… I think the “with Kojima it’s allowed” take for MGS5 is because of very reasonable concern during development that konami would try to wipe his name off the project. They’d done worse to other employees and would go on to refuse to allow him to receive awards for the game.
Yes, but there are a lot of complaints. The classic visuals were missing effects present in the original xbox release, and the remade visuals lost an enormous amount of personality and detail. I don’t think I would buy halo 1 again (certainly not for more than $10) but it would be nice to have a definitive version
Sounds like a one piece arc tbh. “Thank you for feeding me. I will now dismantle your (corrupt) local government”
I know the goblin you’re talking about, but one better for sneak in the tutorial is right when you encounter the first zombie, three rats are fleeing it. They’re hostile, but the devs wanted you to focus on the zombie, so they don’t attack no matter what. Killing the zombie then sneaking into a wall by those rats is safe but also gives you more experience because you’re sneaking around three enemies
Yeah but the alternative is “you can’t eat modern food from absolutely anywhere” because, for example, tomatoes have only been in italy since they were imported from the Americas
I’m surprised nobody is bringing up Rising of the Shield hero here. Bro buys slave children which, while still belonging to him and having magic that forces them to obey his commands, develop feelings for him, presumably due to Stockholm syndrome.
Big “the purpose of a system is what it does now” energy
I’m pretty sure it’s a product of scale, but also, GPT5 is markedly worse. I heard estimates of 40 watt hours for a single medium length response. Napkin math says my motorcycle can travel about kilometer per single medium length response of GPT5. Now multiply that by how many people are using AI (anyone going online these days), now multiply that by how many times a day each user causes a prompt. Now multiply that by 365 and we have how much power they’re using in a year.
But it’s okay, because MY company is AHEAD OF THE CURVE on those 95% losses
I’ll have to dig up finer details in a bit, but it’s a backup device I got on discount years ago. i5 what gen I’m not sure, gtx 960m, I may have replaced ram up to 16gb at some point and it’s running on an ssd at least.
It’s always a jarring experience, going from doing it constantly to not at all. You’re not the only one in that boat at the moment
Time to sue my credit card company for preventing my purchases, but failing to prevent a purchase that was detrimental to me
Agreed. Fear and Hunger has it’s issues and I would not broadly recommend it to anyone. I would also say that the FREQUENCY of sexual assault in the game, and the presence of some weirdly sexual status effects like anal bleeding are a bit overboard. That being said, when one of the earliest enemies can sexually assault you, or maim your character in a way that leaves you able to keep playing, but effectively crippled, it really nails home not just that the world is dark, but that your assumptions about what is in the game don’t apply here. Anything could happen. REALLY anything. And exploring a harsh, hostile world with that expectation set is one of the best parts of the game, because it’s a unique experience that you just can’t get at that quality anywhere else.
It depends. The problem with purity tests is that you’re never 100% pure. It’s why even vegans hate vegans: you can never be vegan enough. I try not to judge, but I would judge if a friend, for example, bought a diesel truck with no use for it, or a cybertruck in general. That’s doing actual, active damage, at the expense of you as a person, why are you doing it?
I remember this episode of futurama! The human asylum is full ever since being poor was declared a mental illness, so we send them both to the robot one
Not to mention google has fought to replace real PCs in grade school computer courses with chromebooks, which are glorified tablets. Recent gens simply aren’t as familiar with proper computers as phones and tablets.
Has he been giving a ton of interviews lately or something? Suddenly I’m hearing about his statements all over, and none of them are actually newsworthy
