Thank you very much!!! That is incredibly helpful!! Now I’m actually excited for the next time they come knocking! Shame I didn’t know this last sunday when they passed by my house, but now I know!!

Thank you!!! I just need to figure out their term in Portuguese now and I’ll be golden here in Brazil and when I finally move in with my BFs in the USA
Not even close to enough but at least it’s a start!!
And it’s also making the horrible people move away, making it more difficult for them to make their shitty ideas into games? It’s a win win!!
I actually use it to open the start menu for a few reasons. Usually I do it to the press tab and the down arrow 5 times then enter twice, why? Because that puts your selector thingy on the sleep option as my keyboard doesn’t have a sleep key. The other reason is I can just start typing some program’s name and launch it without using my mouse. I don’t do it all the time since most programs I need to use the mouse to keep using anyway, but sometimes I just want a calculator or notepad++ and the search function works well enough for those
California is a huge state, there are cheaper areas to live in, and new York isn’t in that much of a risk of suddenly prosecuting queer people, even in a trump government. California is safer, yes, but New York isn’t the boonies of Florida or Texas. If you don’t mind, what are you afraid of in new york that you think you’ll be safer in Israel of all places?
That’s why I suggested going to California first, there you can have enough time to get yourself a citizenship for a country that is actually better for you
Thank you! I read that it takes time and is full of layer stuff, but I just didn’t know how true the things I’ve read up were (I’ve read one person say it took them 7 months from getting married to getting their green card just as an example of how those websites all you their guides for getting a green card)
Israel is a much worse place for trans people, with a conservative government that is much more empowered than the USA and much more connected to religions that wasn’t too annihilate trans people and queer people, who’s going through their fascist faze and have been openly harassing minorities within their land and outside too. Don’t go to Israel. If you want some time to get your things ready to leave for a country like Norway or Holland, California is much much better than pretty much any other state in the USA, you might not even need to leave the US by just staying in California tbh, but if you really want to leave the Nordic countries have been doing really well. France is being attacked by fascists RN but the people are fighting back fiercely and minimizing all the real damage, they are another good option. Switzerland seems to be another good option, but I don’t know much about it, but I do have a gay friend that is moving there to live with his boyfriend and he is leaving the USA, so it seems like a good option too
I know this is a bit away from the subject, but how difficult was it to get your green card? I have a boyfriend in the USA and we’re planning to move in together in the near-ish future but I’m anxious about the process of getting a green card
That’s by design. People with money made sure they wouldn’t be touched
They’re just so happy to be there that they forget to do their marketing pitch
My first one that I still use is my Hotmail account, but now it’s just my spam email, but still randomly have to use it to get some login codes and stuff
Me with my youtube page, then my page with tumblr, twitter and skindeep all in my personal desktop seem very organized and all, until I switch to my university desktop and oh my god why do I still have this article open I’ve done that presentation LAST SEMESTER oh god I have 30 tabs in just this window and I have 5 more windows with fuck knows how many other tabs!!! Then my third desktop is my torrenting one with some search pages open so that I can just refresh the search for a new episode of whatever series/anime I’m watching now, totaling 1 tab in one single window
I somehow fit perfectly in both extremes and the middle ground lol
The fact that I can go to one website and have a pretty much parity perfect and functioning photoshop for free, go to another and play online multiplayer games and then just go to a social webpage, forums and so much more in the same place is mind blowing when you think of how different these things are and how it all works flawlessly in the same program
I could try, but the only game this is causing issues is minecraft, and the server is mostly dead by now, so I don’t want to spend the money for just trying to see if it would help, but I’ll def look into it for the next time we play minecraft again
I don’t know much about much, I’ll admit that, but what I have experienced with DNS is that it keeps shitting the bed when I’m trying to connect to my bfs server in the USA while I live in Brazil. Some spectrum node in Miami or something keeps sending my ping to the moon and my packages go from 0% dropped to 100% when I use a program to trace the path (sadly can’t recall the name RN, hopefully when someone replies I’ll be by my PC again and check it)
I just wish I could tell my DNS “hey, don’t use that node specifically” because every other step is going just fine, but as I said before, I don’t know much at all so I don’t know if that’s possible or even if it’s a good idea
I’ll honestly trust the CDC’s opinion that is currently low risk, since they know all about viruses and their mutation rates and chances of jumping from other mammals to humans
A few? There are so many traumatized people that would need entire teams of therapists, it would probably increase their employee numbers by at least 50%
He took the authorization for a bunch of Russians from being able to keep working on the Linux stuff. I’m def not remembering everything and I’d suggest you searching any news about it, it’s an interesting read
