Even in French newspapers it’s often implied that JM Le Pen was the sole founder of the FN.

The English wikipedia article is not complete about the party’s foundation: Jean Marie Le Pen did found it, but not alone. Since he was the party’s president for almost 40 years, he’s the most known founder.

And he did not stop there. During the Algerian independance war, he is believed to have tortured and supervised the torture of prisoners.
He’s been condemned at least 25 times for antisemitism, inciting hatred and discrimination, minimizing/excusing war crimes and piblic outrage (not sure about my translations, these are serious offenses in the french law). For example, he stated multiple times that the nazi’s crematory ovens were a detail of the ww2.
He’s been riling up the country against non-white and non-hetero people for the last decades. And he’s been president of a party that’s had litreral nazis and neonazis in its ranks, which he never seemed to care about.

I agree with both of your statements, I wrote my post while being pissed and frustrated about Macron’s anti-left schemes. It wasmore of a rant than an actual useful answer, and I should have made it clearer.

Well, Macron openly and blatantly assisted Le Pen’s far right party for the past sevent years. Idk what he’s playing so shocked about.

It was Macron and his cronies who started the train of “well the far right is bad but the left is anti semitic” on which the far right happily jumped. Nevermind that Le Pen’s party was actually created by an ex SS and that some of their candidates were seen having some nazi fun with friends.

A french newspaper just revealed that there have been secret dinners and meetings between people close to Macron and the far right’s leadership these past month, the latest happening 3 days after the national assembly surprise dissolution.

Not really. The scenario where the left wins the most seats is the least probable one. The two that can really happen are the far right gaining enough seats to govern the country, or nobody having a majority.

This will not happen. What we’re fighting for today is depriving the far-right and its allies from getting more than half the seats in the national assembly. We actually have a chance to prevent them from becoming our new government, but nothing is sure yet.
Whatever happens, the next 1 to 3 years is/are going to suck a lot.

Maybe I didn’t get my facts straight, but iirc there are around 7.5k satellites up there, with starlink current count about 5.5k. And I think I read they got the greenlight for the 7.5k gen 2 sats launches.
That looks like a scale change to me. Associated with the short lifespan (which contrasts with the situation 30 years ago, where launches were more expensive), it’s kind of a new situation and should have warranted a more careful approach.

So musk isn’t the first one to launch satellites, I agree. But the way it’s done is kinda new, and mostly on the worse side. And I’m not saying the old way was good, and not absolving previous actors from responsability in the pollution.

Like maybe wait a few years and finance some science to check that your mega constellation of satellites (built to fail after only a few years to make sure your rocket company never goes out of work) won’t be a fucking nuisance on so many levels before you actually launch them ?

Here’s the thing: doing something does not always work, but doing nothing never does.
In the provided screenshot, the devs themselves explain that asking for refunds and leaving bad reviews is what gives them enough pull to even have the discussion with sony.

Of course you don’t have to do anything, but you really don’t accomplish anything by bothering the people who actually try to find ways to make the situation better.
