No matter how many times I see it, the opening is still such a banger.
The second and third parts were unexpected. We have the gang helping a guy Horai Jun muster courage to ask out his crush, worried that his robotic English-influenced diction would hinder him. Turns out his crush (Nikura Ann) is similar to him and they started dating on the spot. As a bonus, Jun and Ann became unintentional wingmen for Niko and Moi. Jun’s tickets became a segue for our MCs to finally go on a date!
We learn during the date why Moi appears expressionless. It was a necessity for him to be an effective fighter. Once Nico casts a spell to show Moi’s true feelings, it was clear that he’s not much different from a normal guy.
Done!
I think this is currently my favorite show this season. Emotional scenes are great and comedy also hits the spot.
After hearing the reason behind the torn letter I just thought I’d be more than happy to help restore it even without any magic. Such a short and simple yet touching story.
The textbook guy is such a funny reminder to never learn any language from just textbooks. The language there is often very unnatural and most likely never used in real life. For anyone thinking that apps like Duolingo are better, nah. Those won’t even let you express things in a different way even if it’s correct.
Nico gets more romance and we can enjoy her yukata look? Is this some extremely early Christmas present?!

It makes for a great radio voice though.
But it would have to be 10x faster.
