    I wanted to change my parents’ wifi password to something everyone in the family would remember instead of the random default gibberish password.

    My dad said no because it took the Comcast guy a long time to set up, so I’d probably mess up the work he did… I had worked in IT for 7 years at that point.

      Okay so I will follow that logic and will only stay a length of time that is shorter than how long the cable guy was here.

      I can relate. I’ve got like a hundred devices that connect to my wifi, so if someone suggested changing the Wi-Fi password I’d punch em in the crotch. But yeah… Doubt your dad is doing that.

        Tbh QR code or WPS seem like better options than an easy password
