Does Lemmy implement a spoiler mode for images? Or perhaps it can be implemented with a custom CSS?
No. We need to wait for someone or write it ourselves.
From my testing mobile web is the worst for spoilers, jeroba dosn’t load image previews, and desktop is kinda all right.
I just got an idea! :D Can you change a community’s CSS? If that’s the case, we could add a line to the CSS so that LN and prepub posts show an arbitrary image instead of the thumbnail.
EDIT: Example:
.thumbnail { content:url('spoiler.jpg'); }
We can but it’d need to be a client userstyle due to people on other instances. Also doesn’t fix text previews on mobile possibly co taining spoilers.
I’ll make one after I finish the basics of the chapter posting bot, that one has priority rn
at least separate spoiler communities makes up for it
Jeroba can load image previews in alpha 0.0.34. Play store is on 0.0.33.
I’m currently using fdroid version of Jeroba for faster updates.
Some good news it appears their is work being done by lemmy devs to adress the spoiler issue :)
The first one is a feature request I submitted. Let’s hope a dev decides to work on it! crosses fingers
If I recall their is spoiler option in comments but not main image in post
The only work around I found is to blur your post image and post the un blurred image in comment
