If Georgine had been beaten, but managed to escape, she’d most likely kill any name-sworn and contracted servant that were captured, to deny the enemy intelligence, to punish them for getting caught or just out of sheer spite. So the only thing Veronica would know for certain is that Georgine lost, but not necessarily that she died.
