So Ponko is a university graduate, and it took 70 years to build the rocket without visible change in the tanuki. I guess this confirms that their human character designs don’t reflect their actual aging.

What?! They can’t just leave us like that. They shouldn’t put a cliffhanger on my comfort anime T^T. Stay safe Yachiyo, I hope Ponko and the rest will be able to rescue her
Ending an episode like that really hurts. Waiting an entire week on that cliffhanger is going to be hell. Also, what kind of secret mission is get stranded in space? I would be really interested to see a more complete list of what the secret missions are.
My favorite part of this episode was the doorman robot practicing so much to open/close the hatch on the capsule. He was even in the background of several scenes through the episode during other conversations.
I had very interesting thought about getting stranded in space. If yachio is sentient then years of orbiting would be hell to live through, but we know from previous episode that she doesn’t feel that same way as humans as she is a robot.
I think it’s quite merciful to give an option for her to self destruct by her designer as self-destruction doesn’t have any utility in this situation.

It gets better and better with each episode. I think Ponko might be my new favourite character.
Honestly, this wasn’t in my first list, and I passed it a few times before starting. I’m so glad I’m here.
