When Yachiyo re-enters from space they first think it’s some kind of threat and trying to shoot her down. And we can see in the beginning that they have a Phalanx CIWS, Patriot air defence systems and a bunch of vertical lunch tubes. Assuming the VLS carries SM-6 missiles, that’s 3 air defence systems, two with medium range for a target that is going to hit nearby.
But instead they try to intercept her with what seems to be an ICBM? That was never going to work. This racoon needs to be court marshalled for almost blowing up the city.
Poor Yachiyo, and wow, what a timeskip. I fear a sad ending more and more, looking at the robots states
Is this Comedy? Is this Action? Is this Drama?
I don’t really know but Shampoo Hat needs to be at it’s right place.
The visual gag that SpaceX Dragon has shot down Yachio from orbit was great.

I don’t think this is a Falcon 9, most notibly it has a single engine and seems to be single stage.
Going by the theme of US weapons in the opening scences of this episode, I assumed it’s probably a LGM-118 Peacekeeper or at least some kind of ballistic missile.
I didn’t mean the one that Ponko has shoot up, but one that shoot down yachio. It was 2nd stage dragon capsule.
Done!
That was rough! Not only had Yachiyo been stranded for millennia, but she also no longer had her original body. Didn’t know a robot could go through a rebellious phase. I guess a by-the-book robot like Yachiyo would go through a lot after seeing such changes to her routine.
Meanwhile, Ponko has grown into such a beauty. She even got a boyfriend.
You really can’t never predict what will happen next with this anime. We haven’t seen the rest of Ponko’s family after the timeskip, I wonder what they look like now.
I kind of feel like this was a missed opportunity to have Ponko replace Yachiyo in the OP.
I am traveling right now, so I am going to keep it short. I wasn’t really feeling this episode for a while. Yachiyo going through a rebellious phase (no matter how hilarious or well animated it was) felt a bit out of character to me. However, they brought me back around with the emotional exchange between the two. I am going to miss this show when it is over.
