I just finished it this morning. I am really hoping that things resolve themselves well in regards to the revelations at the end. I am sort of worried that the plot is working its way towards a tragedy. I do really like how Rozemyne keeps growing and using her resources and talents to greater and greater effect.

In previous parts no one from the main roaster has ever died (Temple fights in part 2, Mayne’s kidnapping in part 3, invasion to the Academy in part 4…) I gotta admit I think someone from the main roaster is now at danger, having this much conflict and no-one from the main cast dying is somewhat implausible.

Things can still be tragic even without deathes. Just look at Philine. She had a relatively happy life, even after her father re-married, since initially Jonsara was nice to her, and it was actually a birth that made her and her brother’s entire world fall apart.

But still, everyone from the main cast -except Ferdinand and his team- has a relatively happy life, even after the problems with Philine family problems she now has a job which pays her well enough to sustain her and his brother and shes is waiting to marry Damuel. Even Wilfred the target of hate from the previous 2 volumes is now free of the stress of marrying Rozemyne.
